THE COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED

Juice Feast Days 6 & 7

August 6 and 7, 2009

Hi All,

Can you imagine a world with out complaints? Wouldn't that be awesome? Everything that showed up on your plate for the day would be fine with you and if it wasn't- you would not complain about it. You would see right through the imperfections of life straight to the core of God--- the world would be perfectly imperfect and that would just fine. Your job would not be to judge it but to provide suggestions, without blame, so the situation would be closer to the way you prefer.

This is a major issue for me and key for healing from cancer. It's something that Nathan has been trying to teach me for four years (aren't partners great!) and I still seem to take things personally. That's why A Complaint Free World Campaign is so important to me that I have decided to join. I don't have a purple bracelet (yet) but i do have a brown one that I am using in the same way.

So whats a purple bracelet got to do with complaining?

The idea is that you start with the bracelet on one or the other wrist and if you catch yourself complaining, (criticizing, gossiping, whining, etc.) you move it to your other wrist. You've got 21 days to stay complaint free and then you will receive a certificate from Will Bowen's Ministry- he's the man who started the campaign in Missouri and wrote the book.

So even though I'm feeling hungry sometimes or get cravings- no more kvetching for me.

Blessings,
Melinda Elliott

PS:
“Complaining is not to be confused with informing someone of a mistake or deficiency so that it can be put right. And to refrain from complaining doesn’t necessarily mean putting up with bad quality or behavior. There is no ego in telling the waiter your soup is cold and needs to be heated up—if you stick to the facts, which are always neutral. ‘How dare you serve me cold soup…?’ That’s complaining.”
